I am a lover of all things Corner to Corner Crochet. In the summer of 2016 I created a Corner to Corner Market Bag. The pattern has now been released and is available on Ravelry and Etsy.
Maui County was one of the first counties in the United States to ban plastic bags for use at check out in stores. I have designed this bag to be roomy and is great for using as a shopping bag. It’s a great way to say “No Thank You” to the plastic bag at check out and look great while you’re at it. Cotton is suggested however I did use Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn and it made a nice large bag that is quite sturdy. This is the grey bag picture above.
The pattern is a fun and creative way if you’re new to the corner to corner technique and would like a functional end product. I have written out row by row and included some helpful photos to walk you through the pattern. Pictured to the right is Divya @stringtierey final bag and the colors she used worked out so beautifully.
I hope you have fun making and using this pattern. It’s been one of the most used patterns for me personally. I have made three and love taking them with me to any store, the library and the farmers market.
