Summer is in full swing in my house! The days are long and it’s hot, hot, hot. I love spending the days keeping my kids busy so I can enjoy the cool evenings crocheting or knitting. My favorite summer drink in Kefir Soda. We have an amazing local maker and it’s gone very quickly. Another bonus is all the flowers are in bloom when the temperatures sky rockets. Aren’t these pink plumeria flowers beautiful?
I’ve teamed up with some friends and fellow bloggers for a fun blog hop so it’s a BLOGGER BLOCK PARTY! Today I have two of my favorite patterns that are being released.
Make sure to check out all of these amazing bloggers and their free Blogger Block Party Pattern!

Hooked Hazel – The Jane Cushion
I enjoy crocheting in the summer and my favorite items are home items. I tend to stock up for the fall. I’m probably not the only one with a cold drink constantly in the summer. I created the Home Dec Coaster Pattern to be made quickly and also look good on your table. This is also a fabulous gift for your friends hosting summer BBQ’s or to sell at markets.
The second pattern uses my favorite crochet stitch the jasmine star stitch. When I first learned to crochet this was my “number one” stitch I wanted to learn. It may look complicated but it’s not. There’s a few extra steps and this puffy stitch makes excellent home decor items. I used 100% cotton yarn because I feel safer using it around hot plates and dishes. The repeated pattern makes is super easy to make and you’ll be amazed when you’re done.
If you would like this pattern as a low cost PDF, you can find the Home Dec Coaster on Etsy or Ravelry and the Aloha Placemats on Etsy or Ravelry. There is a step by step photo tutorial for the Jasmine Stitch in the Aloha Placemats PDF Pattern. The Ulana Jar Cozy Pattern is also available on Etsy and Ravelry.
Now for the patterns!!
