Just a Twist Beanie

Posted: March 30, 2020 by admin

Welcome to the Just a Twist Knitted Beanie pattern. I’m deeply in love with knitting cables and braids. I love to play around with how the textures look together. The Just a Twist Beanie was created to have a beautiful and unique texture as well as look super fashionable. I designed the pattern so the big cable can be substituted for a big braid. Knitting cables and braids work up super fast and this is one project you’ll love wearing. The pattern is written in four sizes: adult, child, toddler, and baby.

If you’re new to knitting, working cables, and braids are easier than you think. I’ve provided a few links under the abbreviations to help get you started. Just a Twist Beanie pattern is available as an affordable and ad-free PDF on Ravelry HERE and Etsy HERE.

I hope you love this fun and quick pattern! Please share with me on social media. You can follow me on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE! Tag me @pinkplumeriamaui and use #pinkplumeriamaui. If you like this pattern you may like the Kelly Ear Warmer, Equinox Scarf or Side Step Beanie

Notes:
  • Designed to be slightly loose with a slight slouch.
  • It is important to test gauge.
  • The pattern calls for bulky yarn, if you substitute with 2 strands of worsted weight (#4) beanie turns out slightly larger with using some worsted yarns.
  • The pattern is written using stitch markers to make repeats easier. It’s important to stitch mark where indicated.
  • I’ve included a cable and braided version. I’ve written them out separately to make it easy to follow.
  • You can attach fur pom on beanie after you’ve finished.
